In today's China Smart City Forum 2016, Leng Zhigao, deputy general manager of the product innovation division of China Unicom Beijing Branch, stated that all applications in the network layer, including all smart cities, are in line with the telecom operators' networks. There are inseparable links. Telecom operators have huge basic resources, and they should have the responsibility and ability to support the construction of smart cities.
Leng Zhigao said that operators are more concerned with smart cities because they are inextricably linked to the telecom operators' networks in the entire smart city architecture, network layer, and smart city applications. Government departments, enterprises, and citizens must ultimately connect their smart cities through a broadband network. Telecom operators themselves have basic resources and should have the responsibility and ability to support smart city construction.
At the network level, he stated that Beijing Unicom’s goal was to build a dual-megabit access high-speed three-dimensional network. From the past, the two aspects of fiber-optic transformation and mobile 4G construction, to provide the city's citizens and all walks of life with the integration of heaven and earth, full coverage of the dual-megabit infrastructure network capacity, to help smart cities. Around the fixed-line broadband and 4G network coverage, Beijing Unicom has done a very comprehensive construction plan, and strive to make the network level in 2016, can reach new heights.
Outside of the basic network, Beijing Unicom has built a series of capacity-building work around the Internet + building smart cities. Since last year the State Council issued a guideline document to promote Internet+, Unicom has been actively preparing for this, building on the directions set out in the document, whether it is urban management, industrial development, or creative innovation. Related platforms. Unicom hopes to work together with the Beijing Municipal Government and its partners to integrate the resources of various social information services and contribute to the smart city.
In terms of Internet + applications, Beijing Unicom is also actively building an open Internet+ technology platform. At present, Beijing Unicom has already established an e-government cloud. This is a private network for government departments, and it is also in medical, financial, environmental protection, tourism, These aspects of education are also building a platform for industry cloud computing, providing IT support for these industries. In addition, China Unicom is also actively building IoT platforms. At present, China Unicom has achieved in-depth cooperation with 100 IoT companies in Beijing, and has cumulatively expanded the number of data collection points, exceeding one million.
In terms of big data application platforms, the Beijing Unicom Big Data Application Platform adopts the China Unicom Group's unified construction and provincial cooperation to achieve the two-tiered development model. After three years of construction and operation, China Unicom already has a national centralized data collection system. The experience of massive data processing capabilities, as well as platform opening experience, etc., is now further building the capacity for integrated product development and support. The entire platform also has a very standardized data security management system.
Operators have great advantages in terms of data information richness and data value. They can set up rich labels for users, and can also fully cover the actions of users across the entire network, its various behavioral characteristics, and so on. Businesses can use this data to collaborate with various industries to develop big data applications.
In response to the "Internet + security" issue, Leng Zhigao emphasized that as a telecom operator, based on the long-term accumulation of security technology, as well as its own team and network experience, it should protect the user's information security. China Unicom has been strictly conducting related work in accordance with the information protection rating system to ensure that the supported smart cities have a high level of security. Specifically, China Unicom has carried out network information security protection work, improved Internet security management capabilities, supported national information security special operations, and provided Internet users with a special "Internet +" information security guarantee.
