In 2015, China Netcom has entered the field of vision. China Telecom and China Unicom have recently started cooperation and released the "Six-mode" "Compact Netcom Terminal" white paper. Yang Jie, general manager of China Telecom, also revealed that China Telecom’s full-scale promotion of six-mode full-comm China Netcom will become a national standard, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is currently publicizing it. The publicity period can be officially upgraded to national standards.
Netcom began to become a popular standard for mobile phones.
So, what is the entire Netcom mobile phone? What is the difference between Qualcomm and Qualcomm Netcom?
Qualcomm Xiaolong Netcom: It has five characteristics
At present, China Netcom mobile phones must support China Mobile's TD-LTE 4G, TD-SCDMA 3G and GSM 2G networks, China Unicom's FDD LTE/TD-LTE 4G, WCDMA 3G, and GSM 2G networks, and China Telecom's FDD LTE/TD-LTE. 4G, CDMA2000 3G, CDMA 2G networks, there is a certain degree of cross between the three. In general, it is TD-LTE, FDD LTE, TD-SCDMA, WCDMA, CDMA2000, GSM and CDMA. In a word, there are seven kinds of network models, that is, people often hear the "seven-model."
According to the data released by Strategy Analytics in October 2015, in Q3 2014, the number of 7-mode terminals in China was only released in 8, and in Q3 2015, it reached 30. Only one year of the process, it is nearly four times the growth. Therefore, the market recognizes the development trend of the seven-mode terminal.
And Li Yang, senior manager of Qualcomm’s product market, told reporters that compared to Quantong in the traditional sense, Xiaolong Quan Netcom has five characteristics: Global Netcom, Full 4G+, Full Voice, Full Dual SIM, and Full Wi-Fi. . "The goal is: a terminal that supports the world."
The so-called "Global Netcom" refers to the support of all global band formats, ie full 7 mode (LTE-FDD, TD-LTE, TD-SCDMA, WCDMA, EV-DO, CDMA 1X, GSM), and all major carrier networks Standard and carrier's RF 4G+ carrier aggregation combination.
"Full 4G+" is to achieve high-speed peak data transmission rate and better broadband experience, downlink three-carrier aggregation and 256-QAM, uplink dual-carrier aggregation and 64-QAM, dual SIM card + Cat.6, and uplink data compression (with China Mobile TDD network uplink data compression is used to increase the uplink rate), high-speed train mode (to prevent dropped calls in the high-speed rail process), and 4X4 MIMO (the current demand in the Japanese market is relatively clear).
"Full voice" is used for multimedia sharing in voice calls and videos. Users can directly pick up the phone and dial the number of friends to make video calls without any other application. Supports all 18 voice/VoLTE modes (VoLTE-7 mode, CSFB-8 mode, Dual RF-3 mode, High Definition Video Phone, Qualcomm Voice, Ultra HD Voice, Wi-Fi Call Mode, Enhanced Wi-Fi Call Quality ).
“Full-duplex” means that Quanlong Netcom can implement 16 kinds of dual-card combination modes, such as LTE GSM/LTE CDMA/LTE WCDMA. Dual SIM cards support Cat6, Cat12, and SIM card blind insertion. It will be an OEM manufacturer to open up the market. Strong helper.
And "full Wi-Fi" can realize full-mode, full-frequency network seamless switching, respectively, work in the 2.4GHz/5GHz/60GHz band. Enables the continuity of smart LTE and Wi-Fi calls and video calls.
However, Li Yang said: "In theory, if a cell phone has one or two combinations of technologies, then it can be called a cell phone with the entire network of Xiaolong."
4G/4G+ era: Quanlong Netcom benefits the entire industry chain
All in all, the concept of "Comprehensive Netcom" covers more content under the support of Qualcomm: From the user's point of view, users can choose any of the 4G packages of China Telecom, China Mobile and China Unicom, and insert two 4G cards at the same time. Mobile phones, autonomously and at any time choose to use any operator's data or voice services.
Of course, for operators, Junlong Netcom mobile phone means that it will have a wider and larger terminal library, provide consumers with more choices, improve customer stickiness, and bring a better experience.
For OEMs, a design to meet the needs of all users and operators, why not? According to statistics from Qualcomm, China's top OEM manufacturers are now developing terminals with the full Netcom feature.
Not only that, in the 4G+ era, the Snapdragon processor also supports all operators' 4G+ networks. No matter which carrier card you use, you can enjoy faster Internet speed than 4G. "What's more noteworthy is that these new Netcom features are not only built for flagship computers. In addition to the latest processors, Qualcomm has expanded "Nanlong Netcom" to a broader market level, whether you are high-end or mid-range. Or entry-level users, you can choose their own 'Nine Dragons Netcom' mobile phone." Li Yang added.
Moreover, the concept of “Nanlong Full Netcom” is still evolving. For example, the Qualcomm X12 LTE modem integrated in the Xiaolong 820 also supports integrated services across different connection types. Simply put, this means that we don't have to differentiate between LTE and Wi-Fi in the future - based on signal quality, end-to-end speed, and network coverage, the X12 LTE modem can automatically select between LTE and Wi-Fi.
In addition, Snapdragon 820 has also achieved full-mode and full-frequency support for Wi-Fi technology, that is, it supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ad and works in the 2.4GHz/5GHz/60GHz band. The newly released Snapdragon 820 has also achieved full-mode and full-frequency support for Wi-Fi technology, namely support for 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ad, operating in the 2.4GHz/5GHz/60GHz frequency band.
It is reported that mobile phones equipped with Snapdragon 820 will be available in the first quarter of 2016. At present, more than 70 designs are under development.
