Xinhua Third Announces New Products in 400G Data Center

On March 31, Zihuan’s Xinhua Third Group jointly announced Intel’s 400G data center solution at the 2018 Navigate Pilot Summit. The plan consists of the Xinhua 3rd 400G switch, 25G switch and Intel's newly released 400G silicon optical module. At the conference, Xinhua 3 shared the standard design and R&D course of the 400G core switch, and looked forward to the market prospects of the 400G core switch under the Xinhua three interconnected strategies.

The core switch has always been the highest bandwidth device in the data center and even the entire network market. Whether it is a classical access, convergence and core three-tier network architecture, or a flattened network that is achieved through technologies such as virtualization, the core switches are at the top of the network pyramid. The 400G flagship data center switch issued by Xinhua 3rd adopted the QSFP-DD interface, and QSFP-DD will also be the official standard of the global 400G Ethernet switch port, which will push the core switch and the entire network to a new rate.

Bi Shuwen, vice president and general manager of Product Marketing Department of Xinhua Group, stated: “During this summit, the new upgrade of Xinhua's three major interconnects released the AD-NET 3.0 technology strategy, while the 400G core switch and its solution are AD-NET3. A key component of the solution, including high-performance computing, 5G IPRAN, AI, and deep learning scenarios, has a very high requirement for the main parameters such as the convergence ratio of the network. On the other hand, the edge network is implementing from 25G to 40G and 100G. In the transition, the core network based on the 400G core switch will also have a huge demand as the edge network bandwidth is upgraded."
The S12500X-CF high-density 400G switch supports up to 576 400G ports with full wire speed forwarding, which increases the performance ceiling of the industry's Ethernet core switches by 400%, meeting the core bandwidth requirements of large-scale and ultra-large-scale cloud data centers in the next three to five years.
During the design and development of 400G core switches, Xinhua 3 and QSFP-DD and other organizations conducted in-depth cooperation. As a member of the QSFP-DD organization, Xinhua Third participated in the corresponding international organization at the beginning of the drafting of the 400G standard, and participated in the formulation of the 400G interface electrical standards, module package forms, and other specifications. The relevant standards will also be widely used as the official standard for the global Ethernet switch 400G port.
In addition, Xinhua and Intel, another member of the CWDM8 MSA organization, have conducted long-term in-depth cooperation on the 400G optical transmission standard and have succeeded in commercializing the Intel 400G silicon optical module on the S12500X-CF high-density 400G switch.
Behind the evolution of bandwidth from 100G to 400G, Xinhua 3 has comprehensively upgraded the technology, heat dissipation technology, and upper software technology of PCB materials. All line cards of the S12500X-CF device use the highest grade substrate material in the industry, which is 50% lower than the 100G platform product. It also has a qualitative improvement in key indicators such as pyrolysis temperature. In addition, the S12500X-CF is also iteratively upgraded to the latest version at the software level over the previous generation, and a number of Xinhua's three-core technologies have been integrated into the S12500X-CF system.
From the hardware process to the overall upgrade of software efficiency, the S12500X-CF high-density 400G core switch has reached a new height in terms of signal quality, convergence ratio, and software functionality. Xinhua San demonstrated great technical strength and ecological influence from standard formulation to product design and development.
Xinhua Sanlian teamed up with Intel and other partners to build a 400G data center solution. The solution involves everything from access to the core, providing enterprise customers with end-to-end network system setup and upgrade service design, corporate users. Not only can it quickly build a new high-speed network architecture, but it can also make full use of existing network resources and protect its existing investment from waste.
As an important hardware component of AD-NET 3.0, the S12500X-CF high-density 400G core switch will tie in with various data center solutions from Xinhua Third and its partners to jointly promote the data and business value generated by the enterprise business applications. The quality of the path is shortened.
