According to an overseas survey on why the green data center is needed, 62% of companies believe that their data centers are facing issues such as heat dissipation, power supply, and cost; 23% of companies believe that their data center power supply and cooling capabilities Insufficient, it limits the expansion of IT infrastructure, or can not fully use high-density computing equipment; 19% of the respondents believe that their data center power consumption is too high, the cost is too high to afford; and 17% of companies believe that The excessive temperature in the equipment room has affected the stable operation of the computing equipment, resulting in a series of problems.
Therefore, the most serious problem in most enterprises' data center facilities is that the increase in computing density leads to a rapid increase in power density, and the total cost of ownership of data centers increases with the increase in servers. In the past, data center computing capability was the goal. Electricity was a "general commodity." Today's and future data center computing capabilities are "general commodities." Electricity is the focus. According to data from the White Paper on Energy Consumption in China's Data Centers, the total annual expenditure on power and cooling for servers in China exceeds US$2 billion.
The total construction area of ​​Lanxuan Mingming Data Center Park is 80000?, and the total scale is 15000. How do you maximize energy efficiency? The following analysis was carried out by this blue-sounding technology team:
1. Compared with the technology of UPS used in traditional data centers, Lanxuan Mingming Data Center adopts high-voltage DC technology, which simplifies the design of power distribution systems. With a load ratio of 80%, the data can be effectively analyzed in conjunction with the dynamic analysis of monitoring system data. 3%-6%. At the same time, using an efficient BA management system, the overall management of the refrigeration system is accurate to the hour, significantly improving the efficiency of the refrigeration system. The cold machine is full-loaded and runs at 8400 KWH.
2. In terms of power supply protection, Mingming uses two lines of utility power from different substations, and diesel generators are used as backup power sources. At the same time, in accordance with 2N redundant configuration, battery backup full load power supply 15 minutes, power supply security 99.99%. At the same time, UPS (HVDC) adopts the ECO energy-saving mode, and the efficiency has increased dramatically from 93% to 99%.
3. In the aspect of cooling system configuration, Mingming adopts the N+1 redundancy configuration of the chiller; the cold storage tank can be fully loaded for more than 10 minutes; the chilled water piping system is designed as a loop. In addition, the cold and hot air passages in the equipment room are separated, under the air supply and return air, forming a good form of airflow. The cold aisle is controlled at 18±2°C, the hot aisle is 29±2°C, and the relative humidity is controlled at 35%~60%. In the winter and transition season, cooling towers and plate heat exchangers are combined to provide free cooling and energy-saving refrigeration; special wet-film humidification systems and room air-conditioning systems are installed to ensure the environment of the equipment room.
4. It is worth mentioning here that the frequency conversion cold water pump, frequency conversion water pump, frequency conversion cooling tower, and variable frequency air conditioner all guarantee that under different load conditions, the frequency conversion cold machine will be 10%-20% more efficient than the traditional cold machine with low load operation efficiency. . In addition, the cold and hot aisles are isolated and the blind plates are closed, thus ensuring that the cold air channels are completely isolated from the hot air channels. The cold wind energy can be used to cool the server to the utmost extent to avoid cold wind short circuits, which is significantly higher than the efficiency of the traditional machine room, and the PUE is reduced from 1.8 to 1.4-1.5; and medium-temperature chilled water system, using 15 degrees of water, 21 degrees backwater, so that a greater degree of use of the exchange, increase the use of plate replacement time, free operation of the cooling system, which will help energy-saving emission reduction.
