 1, project background
The China Academy of Suzhou Institute of Geographic Sciences and Technology (hereinafter referred to as the “Research Institute”) is a strategic emerging industry research and development center and high-tech achievements jointly established by the Suzhou National High-tech Industrial Development Zone and the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2012. The transfer agency aims to create a scientific and technological innovation highland in the fields of remote sensing, geographic information systems, navigation and positioning, geography and culture, land remediation, and soil remediation in China. It is the overall foundation of the Geographical Information and Cultural Science and Technology Industrial Base of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (hereinafter referred to as “the Base”). With the rapid development of the base business, in order to meet the current needs of various research and industrialization applications, in order to better support the rapid growth of the future and match the needs of business expansion in the next three to five years, it will serve as the lead unit of the overall base. At the end of 2016, the institute launched the "Base Geographic Space-time Cloud" construction project (hereinafter referred to as the "project").
As the world's leading provider of information and communication technology (ICT) solutions, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Huawei”) focuses on the ICT sector and has the most complete ICT product convergence in the industry, providing the foundation for geographical and temporal cloud data centers for projects. The end-to-end overall solution for subsystems such as facilities, geographic space-time cloud network systems, and geographical space-time cloud computing storage systems.
2. Project requirements
This building is a new building and is equipped with a medium-sized data center room. It requires a unified planning, implementation, and management of the entire network system, realizing the real-time monitoring and deployment of network resources, and realizing the intelligent operation of the network system.
After fully considering the needs of various types of scene-based applications, after analysis and refinement, the major requirements for this project are:
  • A set of building network solutions based on standardization and mutual cooperation between systems is needed.
  • The key and core equipment must be hot-standby and redundant to ensure uninterrupted services.
  • Due to business needs, 40 Gbps of interconnection capacity is required between the core tiers of the network system construction, 10 Gbps of access capacity is required for the data center access layer, and 20 Gbps of uplink capacity is required for the key office network area to meet the customer's precursor connectivity. Into the ability.
  • A set of network identity authentication and permission control systems are required, and user behaviors are audited to ensure the security of network systems and data.
  • The building wireless network system needs to be able to achieve large-capacity, high-density scenarios, and has the capability of indoor positioning based on IoT Internet of Things to meet the research needs of the industry.
3, the project is facing problems and challenges
  • The existing network system has a complex structure and lacks effective unified management.
  • The existing network system bandwidth design is insufficient to meet the business development needs.
  • Existing network systems lack identity control and cannot guarantee network security.
  • The existing network system adopts a single node design and cannot guarantee the stability of the network system.
4, solution
In order to solve the above problems and challenges, Huawei carefully analyzed the network traffic and the model in the base, and created a network-wide solution suitable for the project.
Design two network systems for office and data center, deploy S12700 and CE12800 series switches as their core devices, deploy S7700 series switches and CE6800 series switches as office network floor aggregation switches and data center network access switches, and deploy USG6600 series firewalls as border security. The AP4050DN-E/AP4030DN-E high-capacity wireless AP is deployed to protect equipment and two network security fire protection devices to achieve seamless overall coverage of the wireless network of a building, with IoT slots, and providing Internet of Things functions such as RFID positioning.
The Agile Controller unified identity authentication system is deployed to implement the identification and control of user identities and implement unified management and roaming of user rights. The eSight unified ICT management system is deployed to implement unified management of the two networks to meet the requirements for network statistics and analysis.
The core device, aggregation device, and security protection device ensure the network reliability through cluster+stacked loopless network solutions; 40 Gbps interconnection bandwidth is reserved, and 100 Gbps expansion capacity is reserved, which not only satisfies current service requirements but also ensures system capacity expansion.
5, customer value and project highlights
The whole network adopts a non-blocking network structure design. Any node on the entire network accesses the network and will have an excellent online experience. Access to network resources will not be limited by any bandwidth, so you can gain quick access to resources in your network.
The secure and stable cluster architecture of the entire network, especially the core layer agile switch of the office network adopts the CSS2 technology of the switching network cluster and supports the master 1+N backup. In the cluster system, only one master control board in any box is running normally, and the multi-chassis service can be implemented. Stable operation. Through the cluster's loop-free network solution, the network is guaranteed to be reliable, and then the 99.999% carrier-class reliability of the equipment itself can be integrated to ensure the stable operation of the network.
Through the eSight physical topology, you can perform centralized management of wireless devices and wired devices such as ACs, POE switches, and APs on the network. You can intuitively see the connection relationships between devices, device status and alarms, and the entire network device information. The status is clear at a glance.
The entire network is based on the overall unified account for network access control. Whether it is a wired network or wireless network access, whether in the base Suzhou headquarters or any other branch, whether it is using a PC, tablet or smart phone, or office, laboratory or any other place, you can use your own unique When an account is logged in, the resource attributes and permission attributes of the account are reflected when the account is logged in and a consistent network usage experience is obtained anywhere.
