During the two-day TSN interface compatibility test led by German LNI4.0 that began on May 3 this year, Huawei TSN switches performed steadily and took the lead in completing the TSN interface compatibility tests. The industry has achieved interoperability between Ethernet and time synchronization protocols. good performance.
In this connection test, Huawei provided the TNS switch AR550 based on the NETCONF/YANG configuration to participate in the test. The SDN network configuration mode was first introduced into the TSN among all vendors. In the clock synchronization test, Huawei switches also supported the IEEE. Std 1588-2008 and IEEE Std 802.1AS-2011 agreement, leading the compatibility and completion of the most vendor docking test (with many vendors such as Siemens, Hirschmann, Hilscher, ADI, Beckhoff, Renesas, Silica, Spirent, etc. The first to complete including switches and IPC, Gateway, etc. successfully interconnected in IEEE Std 1588-2008, IEEE Std 802.1AS-2011 and IEEE Std 802.1as-rev), and through end-to-end time synchronization verification through multi-device serial networking; In the packet and frame transmission tests, it is compatible with 100M and Gigabit industrial interfaces of various vendors for interconnection and initial verification of QBV traffic scheduling.
LNI 4.0 is an important part of German Industry 4.0. The association was established by BITKOM, VDMA and ZVEI and a number of companies to work together with Industry 4.0 Platform and Standardization Committee Industry 4.0 (SCI 4.0) to ensure competitive products and solutions Compatibility between. The interaction between the three organizations forms the strategy and concept, testing and standardization of the response process.
The Industrial Testbed OPC UA over TSN project brought together 25 vendors and organizations including Huawei, Siemens, ABB, and Hirschmann. The first stage goal was to complete the clock synchronization protocol IEEE Std 1588-2008 and IEEE Std 802.1AS-2011. IEEE Std 802.1as-rev interface compatibility test, OPC UA expert Cristian and software architect Guo Yinghui of Huawei Research Institute in Munich, Germany, participated actively and successfully completed the first round of TSN interface compatibility testing. According to on-site feedback, Huawei's TSN deployment is generally stable and its performance and features are not inferior to those of other vendors and are slightly exceeded.
In the next step, LNI4.0 will start the actual QBV test in early July. Two or more interface compatibility tests plug-fests will be held around the end of this year. Huawei will also actively participate in this. This interface compatibility test is also an important action after Huawei and the Edge Computing Industry Alliance jointly announced the TSN+OPC UA test bed at the Hannover Messe 20+ partner. It is also an important measure to promote the rapid development of TSN in Europe and the world.
