Accenture Helps Digitalization of Shaanxi Electric Power Promotion Asset Management

Accenture (NYSE: ACN) announced that it has signed a cooperation agreement with the State Grid Shaanxi Electric Power Company (hereinafter referred to as Shaanxi Electric Power) to jointly develop and deploy a new type of digital asset management system to collect and acquire information on the life cycle of all assets. Shaanxi Electric Power is mainly responsible for the construction and operation of the power grid in Shaanxi Province. The new system can use predictive insights to help companies improve real-time decision making.
At the same time, the system is expected to reduce the capital investment and operating costs of Shaanxi Power, reduce the risks faced by people and assets, and improve the company's operating performance.
According to the agreement, Accenture assisted Shaanxi Power to design, develop and deploy lifecycle asset management (LCAM) systems based on the Internet of Things (IoT) and mobile technologies to connect, integrate and analyze transformers, circuit breakers, relays, etc. throughout the asset life cycle. Numerous data on grid equipment.
Grid workers can interact with RFID devices on a grid device through mobile devices to view various operations on the device while collecting a large amount of operational data. The mobile application software jointly developed by Accenture and Shaanxi Electric Power supports this operation and can be applied in several key areas, including: material collection and distribution, infrastructure installation and testing, equipment inspection and asset verification. At the same time, Accenture helped Shaanxi Power migrate these applications from local servers to private clouds.
In the background of the system, Accenture has built a platform for the Internet of Things to further develop data research, form insights through advanced predictive analysis tools, and conduct asset health and performance management in real time to enhance the performance of Shaanxi Electric Power Corporation.
In addition, the new system can also extensively improve Shaanxi Electric Power's operational capabilities in terms of purchase order tracking, construction cost calculation, and maintenance log records.
