In its work report of 2018, the Chinese government stressed that “the development and expansion of new kinetic energy, enlargement and development of new industrial clusters, the use of new technologies, new formats, new models, and vigorously transform and upgrade traditional industries”, to further promote the flourishing development of new industries and traditional industries Reshaping, changing production methods, and promoting China's innovation and economic growth. Transforming and upgrading traditional businesses and realizing business innovation have become new missions and opportunities for the technology industry.
On May 9th, VMware, a global enterprise software innovation leader, held the CIO Summit in Greater China in Chengdu to focus on the digitalization. It focused on the next evolution of the CIO digital transformation journey in the Asia-Pacific region, and talked with industry elites about future work. , commerce and applications help CIOs to lead the digital transformation process of enterprises, and at the same time reveal the scope and impact of digital transformation more profoundly, help digital businesses and help enterprises win success.
According to Guo Zunhua, vice president of VMware and president of Greater China, “At the moment, various corporate organizations are driving a digital transformation boom to bring about better experiences and drive business growth. Based on industry-leading products and solutions, VMware helps companies. Accelerate your journey to digital transformation and realize your commitment to customers."
VMware Global Vice President and President of Greater China Guo Zunhua
As companies move from centralized data centers to hyper-distributed applications and edge data centers, the complexity of networking and security has risen to a whole new level. At the forum, VMware officially released "Virtual Cloud Network" to depict future network vision and announced the launch of VMware NSX network and security product portfolio for software-defined data centers, branch offices, cloud and telecom environments. Programs and data provide ubiquitous, continuous connectivity and security.
Most workloads exist outside the data center, and the virtual cloud network will better support enterprise connectivity, protection, and optimization of the delivery of applications and data. With a virtual cloud network, customers can create an end-to-end software-based network architecture that can serve applications and data regardless of their location. The virtual cloud network will operate on a global scale, providing consistent and extensive connectivity and security for applications and data, regardless of its underlying physical infrastructure or location. By releasing the value of current network technologies and significantly reducing the complexity of the network, the virtual cloud network will help companies to simplify the journey of digital transformation of their businesses and take full advantage of the advantages of digital transformation.
The VMware NSX network and security portfolio provides a consistent operational environment to connect, secure, and operate virtual cloud networks. The portfolio has new enhancements for data centers, branch offices, cloud and telecom environments, and promotes support for traditional and modern application frameworks. With the VMware NSX portfolio, customers will have consistent network and security management across private data centers, AWS, Azure, and IBM Cloud.
Network virtualization
The VMware NSX data center is the most widely deployed enterprise data center network virtualization platform in the industry, with more than 4,500 customers worldwide. The NSX data center helps customers design, build, and maintain data centers driven by next-generation strategies, connect, secure and automate traditional and modern applications, and protect applications and data with the inherent security of the infrastructure.
In its most recent update, the NSX data center introduced new container and bare-metal capabilities to provide consistent network services for all applications and deployment models. The rapid release of container integration will achieve global security and extend to new application platforms such as PKS. VMware also brings new performance optimization acceleration to distributed workloads to better support telecom/network-enabled virtualized environments.
Software Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN)
VMware NSX SD-WAN by VeloCloud is an industry-leading SD-WAN solution that integrates the economics, flexibility and deployment speed, scale, and automation of the best real-time network coverage. By deploying the NSX SD-WAN solution, customers can take advantage of comprehensive visualization, metrics, controls, automation of all devices and user endpoints, and lower total cost to provide better cloud and application performance. The integration of NSX SD-WAN with NSX Data Center and NSX Cloud enables customers to extend consistent network and security policies from the data center to branch offices to the cloud, while providing end-to-end visibility and control of operations. NSX SD-WAN by VeloCloud provides enterprises and telecom operators with an extensible platform to integrate local services and cloud services in a consistent and continuous business strategy framework. NSX SD-WAN is delivered to customers in three ways: Customers can purchase NSX SD-WAN services from VMware or more than 60 communication service providers worldwide; NSX SD-WAN can also be purchased as a local deployment solution. At present, more than 2,000 customers use NSX SD-WAN.
Cloudy network
VMware NSX Cloud provides consistent network and security for applications running on VMware-based private data centers and native public clouds. NSX Cloud solves the operational challenges faced by adopting multiple public clouds, such as: contradictory strategies and constructions of multiple clouds; changing policies for cloud, region, and VPC; manual operations: visualization of limited operations of east-west traffic ; and each public cloud-specific operating tools.
With the latest version of NSX Cloud, VMware will add new native control capabilities to customers who use Microsoft Azure as part of their Cloud strategy.
Hybrid cloud connection
VMware NSX Hybrid Connect helps customers resolve one of the biggest challenges of a hybrid cloud—a consistent network. With VMware NSX Hybrid Connect, customers create a consistent, high-security, consistent software architecture that connects the data center to the cloud without compromising oversight and control. NSX Hybrid Connect enables customers to seamlessly migrate workloads from any VMware environment to modern, software-defined data center environments, whether they are running on local, public cloud or operated by VMware Cloud Provider partners.
VMware helps customers create a complete closed-loop, intent-based system, automates 360-degree visualized operations to provide performance feedback, and enables rapid remediation through proactive and predictive analytics. VMware vRealize Network Insight provides customers with a complete visualization of the various components within the deployed service in a private cloud, public cloud, and virtual and physical environments. VMware vRealize Suite helps customers achieve continuous, near-real-time network resource health, performance, and capacity data, and provides priority alerts for closed-loop integration of resource and service orchestration workflows.
"Software is the key to the future of networking, and the future of the network lies in the virtual cloud network. VMware is helping customers build future software-defined virtual cloud network connections and protect applications and users. With the new NSX network and security portfolio, we help The customer creates a virtual cloud network through a software-based digital business architecture, which is a flexible, programmable and inherently secure network."
